The new Phoenix Centre was built in 2010 and was ready in 2012. We had an official opening to celebrate this. Before this building, there was the old Phoenix Hall on the same site which had been part of Newton Dee from the start in 1952, where community events were held.
With the new Phoenix Community Centre, we have had more opportunities to receive the general public into Newton Dee
- The route/path to the hall is suitable for wheelchair/ mobility scooters
- The route/path to the hall is well lit

- Internal flooring is suitable for a wheelchair/mobility scooter
- Reception and the main hall are suitable for approach both by people in standing and seated positions
- There are steps in the building and a lift is available
- Lifts are big enough for wheelchairs access
