Milne Hall, Kirkton of Skene

Milne Hall was originally built in 1885. Since that time there has been a number of extensions added to the hall.

In 2016 a Charity was set up to take over the day-to-day running of the hall from the council. After a lot of fundraising and various grants, we were able to demolish our old kitchen area and build a brand new kitchen and meeting area.

The hall is used by various local clubs and organisations and is a very popular venue at the weekends for children’s parties.

  • There is ramp/flat access to the venue
  • The door opening is wide enough for a wheelchair/mobility scooter
  • Internal flooring is suitable for a wheelchair/mobility scooter
  • Signs are positioned at a suitable height level for people with reduced eye levels, like people with visual impairments or in a wheelchair
  • Reception and main hall are suitable for approach both by people in standing and seated positions
  • There is sufficient circulation space for wheelchair/mobility scooters
  • The main hall has a hearing loop system which only works if sound is amplified during an event
  • The disability equipment is regularly checked
  • This is a guide/assistance dog-friendly venue
  • This is a breastfeeding-friendly venue
  • There is a wheelchair available at the venue if required
