Calling filmmakers/producers, distributors and exhibitors! Fancy some time, space and inspiration by the sea?

Screen Argyll’s Sea Change Development Lab returns to the Isle of Tiree between Tuesday 17 September and Friday 20 September 2024, focusing on “connect, collaborate, community, change“.

Expressions of interest are now open!

Sea Change Development Lab invites women at any stage in their film and screen industries career for mentoring, skill-sharing and discussion.

  • Learn and work with experienced practitioners and industry experts
  • Gain ideas and insights about enabling positive change for a welcoming, inclusive and accessible screen industry
  • Explore new ways of working, facilitating learning and finding creative solutions for developing audiences
  • Be mentored by Lab alumni, take time out with peers and nourish networks to support you back at home

All in the spectacular Tiree landscape – the most westerly island in the Inner Hebrides.

Here’s what some of our 2022 participants valued about the Lab:

“Meeting other women working across the breadth of the film industry in the UK (having all those different ‘roles’ under one roof was really significant) and feeling as though I came away with a new support network.”

“Sea Change is one of the most profound and important experiences I’ve ever had in my professional life…In an industry where we’re all so overstretched and deadline-driven, we’re so programmed not to be able to take the time and space to really think about the important questions raised by the lab. Sea swimming, pilates, walks, meals together, and the living together on Tiree were all completely essential to my experience and how powerful it was.”
