Funding from Film Hub Scotland and A Cinema Near You (Regional Screen Scotland) has enabled us to appoint a new Community Cinema Coordinator.
Marie Archer will join NEAT in March and will be responsible for developing our community cinema network and provide support to our Volunteer Promoters. Emyr Bell, NEAT’s Executive Director said “We are excited about this new role, it will provide much-needed support to our dedicated volunteers. Marie has a wealth of experience and will be a valuable addition to the team.”
Marie has over 25 years of experience working in the arts and creative industries in both urban and rural settings. Before this appointed Marie was an Arts Development Officer with Aberdeenshire Council and Film Officer at Aberdeen & Shire Film Office. As this is a part-time role she will also be taking up a new part-time role as Industry Support Executive – Creative Industries within Aberdeenshire Council which incorporates her work as Film Officer with the Aberdeen & Shire Film Office making this the ideal role for developing cinema provision in rural communities across the North East.
