Live Life Aberdeenshire’s Youth Music Initiative programme is seeking innovative musicians and artists to deliver two new and exciting projects…

The deadline for applications has been extended to midnight Sunday 5th February 2023

Project 2 – “Upload”

3 or more musicians and/or artists/sound artists or an arts organisation

1 student/intern/work experience placement

We are particularly looking for artists who can work in innovative ways to engage difficult-to-reach young people, some of whom may not have engaged with music or formal education before. This may be done through contemporary music genres such as R&B/Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop or World Music but most importantly, will be designed, written, and delivered by the young people to share their own message in their own style.

Often, young people who don’t engage are disadvantaged because their voices are not heard. With that in mind, and in line with the UNCRC being brought into Scots law, we will work with partners who can support young people to express their voices through music in a way that is accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful to them.
