Vision Mechanics is delighted to be taking Twitawoo, one of their most popular puppet shows for children, to Aberdeenshire.
The show introduces us to Gerry, the forest ranger, who looks after all the animals that live in Ghillie Dhu Woods, including Owl, Badger, Squirrel, Pine Marten, and a few others. Gerry wants to win the tidiest forest in Scotland competition but there is a lot of waste to clear up. And meanwhile, an owl in the nearby forest has gone missing…
The show features songs and music and brings to life a host of fabulous Scottish woodland creatures who invite the audience to help them look after their home. It is also an uplifting tale about the importance of friendship and about falling in love.
“Twitawoo is funny but also has a strong message about how important it is to look after our environment and how dropping litter can harm animals,” says Director, Symon Macintyre, who performs in the show along with Kim Bergsagel, who also designed and made all the puppets. He adds, “It is a great way to enthuse children about litter issues and about theatre.”
A perfect show for 4–8-year-olds and their families.
