A comedy by Marie Jones, set in rural Ireland. A Hollywood company has descended to film on location, and the locals are recruited as extras at £50 a day, plus as much cake as they can eat. Unfortunately, the movie industry’s rose-tinted vision of Irish life has little to do with the real-life drama of the poverty stricken villagers.
With a cast of two, who play more than 15 characters between them, this hugely successful play was a Fringe hit, had a phenomenal West End run, won an Olivier Awards for Best New Comedy, and was nominated for three Tony Awards. This is the first time it has toured Scotland.
