Aberlour Scout Hall
Wednesday 12 September 2018
In Aberlour on Wednesday September 12th audiences will be treated to A Many Splendoured Thing. This lively evening of storytelling will reveal many aspects of love, as essential to humans as tale telling. The generous hearted storytellers who are We Three, will explore love of life, family and the land and especially love of the North East. The audience will also be warmed by a ‘guid smatterin’ of Doric.
Each show is designed for each location. We Three combine skill and experience in a repertoire which can be suited to any audience or setting. With verve and spirit they tell stories new and old, from across the world, or from the local doorstep, from ancient times or the day before yesterday, enhanced with jokes, music, anecdotes.
We Three came together in 2017. Three storytellers, Bob Mitchell, Harriet Grindley and Maria MacDonell saw the many rich possibilities in weaving their different skills and styles into entertaining, moving and enthralling performances. Bob Mitchell is well kent in Scotland as a storyteller in Scots, English and Doric. Harriet has told stories throughout Scotland and the UK and Maria is a writer and performer known in many different areas of Scottish cultural life.
